Southend defender Mark Phillips is not passed fit for tonight's League Two playoff semi-final second leg against Crewe Alexandra.

The centre-back was one of a number of injury doubts for manager Paul Sturrock.

Freddy Eastwood has been brought into attack in place of Neil Harris, while Elliot Benyon replaces Kane Ferdinand.

Meanwhile, Ashley Westwood starts ahead of Billy Bodin for the visitors.

Crewe hold a 1-0 lead from the first leg at the Alexandra Stadium.
