Southampton are weighing up a move for Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie, according to reports.
Boss Ronald Koeman managed the Dutch midfielder at Feyenoord before he joined the Saints last summer, and the player was said to be "heartbroken" when he heard that Koeman was leaving the Eredivisie side.
The Mirror says that Southampton see Clasie as a replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin, whom they expect to lose to either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old was linked to Manchester United last year, after he broke into the Dutch national side under new United boss Louis van Gaal prior to the World Cup.
Clasie has been nicknamed the 'New Xavi'.
