Dusan Tadic joins Ajax from Southampton

Dusan Tadic leaves Southampton to join Dutch giants Ajax.

Southampton have confirmed that Dusan Tadic is leaving the club to join Dutch giants Ajax.

The Serbian will sign for the Eredivisie outfit on July 1 in a deal that previous reports suggest is worth around £17.5m.

"Southampton Football Club can confirm that Dusan Tadic has agreed a move to Ajax for an undisclosed fee," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Everyone at Southampton Football Club would like to thank Dusan for all of his efforts during his four years at St Mary's, and we wish him every success in the future."

Tadic, who is currently on World Cup duty with Serbia, made 162 appearances for the Saints and scored 23 goals during his four-year stay.
