James Ward-Prowse: 'Southampton can reach the top'

James Ward-Prowse is confident that Southampton can "reach the top" following their strong start to the Premier League season.

Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse believes that the Premier League outfit are capable of 'reaching the top'.

The Saints have impressed at the start of the season by reaching third place in the table after 11 games.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino was rewarded for his efforts by scooping the Premier League's Manager of the Month award for October.

"Mauricio's thoughts are exactly the same as ours," the Daily Echo quotes Ward-Prowse as saying.

"We get more confident day by day and we believe we can reach the top, it is just a case of putting in the hard work off the pitch and on it. I am sure we can hit the sky."

The former Championship outfit will take on Arsenal at the Emirates after the international break.
