Mauricio "happy" to send Southampton players on international duty

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino says that he is "happy" to let his players join up with the national teams.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he is "happy" for his players to join up with their national teams.

While a number of managers are wary of their stars performing for their countries during the domestic season, Pochettino has expressed no such worry.

"It's always positive," BBC Sport quotes Pochettino as saying. "We're happy about it, even though we will lose players."

Eleven members of Southampton's squad, including striker Rickie Lambert, have been called up for international duty next month.
