Southampton's Nigel Adkins expects to keep job after QPR result

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is confident that both he and Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes will keep their jobs following this weekend's match.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins does not believe that he and Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes are in danger of losing their jobs following this weekend's match.

The two clubs sit in the bottom three of the Premier League table and they go head to head at Loftus Road on Saturday following reports of increasing pressure on both managers.

"I don't think [the result] will have any relevance whatsoever for either manager," said Adkins.

"We've got two managers and two football clubs at the wrong end of the table but I am pretty confident that both managers will be in situ come Monday."

The Saints have only claimed one victory this season, while QPR have yet to take maximum points from a match.
