Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones has praised his side's workrate during their shock 3-1 win away to Hull City this afternoon.
Reda Johnson's first-half goal gave the Owls a lead until the 83rd minute when Robert Koren equalised for the hosts. Wednesday responded by immediately regaining the lead before sealing the points in stoppage time.
Jones admitted that it wasn't a perfect performance from his side, but believes that they deserved to win and were rewarded for naming an attacking lineup.
"We've got good young players and we worked our socks off today. We frustrated them and they had nowhere to go," said Jones.
"We didn't come here with a defensive lineup. When we had the ball we needed to use it, and we did. Sometimes when you have a big man up front you go long a lot, and we knew we couldn't do that today. But we had a quick team.
"The unit was really solid. We know there's a long way to go, but we've been playing well. We just have to take our away form into our home form."
The result lifts Wednesday out of the Championship relegation zone and into 21st place.
