Unai Emery to discuss Sevilla renewal

Sevilla boss Unai Emery quells suggestions that he could leave the club this summer.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has revealed that he will sit down with the Spanish club this week to discuss a new long-term contract.

The Spaniard's work during the 2013-14 season, where he led his side to a fifth-place finish in La Liga and the Europa League title, has made him one of the most in-demand managers in Europe.

AC Milan have been strongly credited with an interest, but Emery has claimed that he wants to sign a new deal in Seville.

"The season is over and now is the time to rest," he told the club's official website.

"We are happy with what we did this season and are happy to have shown the type of football the fans deserve. I've agreed with the President to sit down and talk about a renewal on Wednesday.

"I am very happy here – I've always said that. The fans can rest easy."

Emery took charge of Sevilla in 2013 after leaving Spartak Moscow.
