Half-Time Report: Senegal 2-0 Uruguay

Moussa Konate scores twice as ten-man Senegal hold a 2-0 lead over Uruguay at the break at Wembley,

Ten-man Senegal hold a 2-0 lead at the break in their Olympic fixture with Uruguay thanks to a brace of goals from Moussa Konate.

The 19-year-old grabbed his first of the match in the tenth minute from inside the area.

His side's chances then looked to have been hampered when Abdoulaye Ba was handed his marching orders for a late challenge.

However, despite being a man light, Konate doubled his side's advantage when he headed into the right hand corner of the net with five minutes of the half remaining.

Uruguay's best chance of the half fell to Gaston Ramirez, but the reported Liverpool target struck the post. Edinson Cavani also had an opportunity, but his goalbound effort in stoppage time was hacked off the line.
