Christophe Berra: "Macedonia are no mugs"

Scotland defender Christophe Berra says that Tuesday night's match against Macedonia at Hampden Park will be a "difficult game".

Scotland defender Christophe Berra has denied suggestions that his side's Hampden Park meeting with Macedonia on Tuesday night will be easy to win.

Craig Levein's men began their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 0-0 home draw against Serbia on Saturday, while Macedonia were beaten 1-0 by Croatia in Zagreb.

"Macedonia are no mugs, they have got top players who play at top European clubs," said Berra. "I have played them before and it was a difficult game. It's going to be the same.

"They will be coming here and looking to spoil things for the home support. But if we play as we did on Saturday then we have more chance of winning than losing."

Berra, who plays his club football for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has been capped 22 times at senior international level.
