Two late goals from Bilel Mohsni allowed Southend United to maintain their grip on top spot in League Two this afternoon.
Kane Ferdinand put visiting Southend 1-0 up at Crewe Alexandra during the first half, but the home side struck back in the 74th minute courtesy of Harry Davis.
Mohsni had only been on the pitch four minutes when he put United in front in the 87th minute, before he sealed the points in stoppage time.
Second to Southend but only on goal difference are Crawley Town, who emerged victorious from the early kick-off away at Northampton Town thanks to a strike from leading goalscorer Matt Tubbs.
AFC Wimbledon leapfrogged opponents Morecambe into third position with a late victory at the Globe Arena. Stewart Drummond put hosts Morecambe in front, before goals from Jack Midson and Christian Jolley secured the points for Terry Brown's side.
