Republic of Ireland announce England friendly

The FAI confirms that the Republic of Ireland will host England in a friendly next summer.

The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed that the Republic of Ireland will host England in a friendly next summer.

The two teams will face each other at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on June 7, 2015.

Ireland and England last played each other in a friendly at Wembley Stadium on May 29, 2013. The match ended 1-1 after Frank Lampard had cancelled out Shane Long's opener.

England have a winning record when it comes to past meetings against Ireland, coming out on top five times compared to two victories for the Irish.
