Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane reveals that he is not planning to call time on his international career in the near future.

Robbie Keane has revealed that he does not plan to retire from international football in the near future.

Former Republic of Ireland international Roy Keane recently called for some of the nation's older players to call time on their stint with the Irish.

However, Keane has insisted that his sole focus is on Ireland's final Euro 2012 match against Italy.

"First of all, it's not my decision whether any of the players retire, that's their own thing," Keane told reporters.

"For me, I am just focusing on Monday's game and then after that, I will see. But I am certainly not even thinking for one second about retiring at this moment in time.

"I am fully focusing on Monday's game, and we will see what happens."

Keane is Ireland's leading goalscorer, with 53 goals to his name.
