Ligue 1 champions Montpellier HSC suffer their third loss of the season, with a 3-1 defeat at newly-promoted Reims.

Defending champions Montpellier HSC continued their disappointing start to the Ligue 1 season by suffering defeat at newly-promoted Reims.

The hosts opened the scoring on 37 minutes when Diego latched onto Antoine Devaux's pass and cooly finished from 15 yards.

Montpellier equalised through Remy Cabella 10 minutes after the break, but Rene Girard's men were only level for 15 minutes.

Christopher Glombard smashed home from just inside the penalty area to restore his side's advantage on 75 minutes.

Gaetan Courtet then sealed the win with a simple close-range tap-in four minutes from time.

Montpellier now have four points from five matches - three fewer than tonight's opponents.
