Saturday's MLS predictions including New York Red Bulls vs. DC United

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's MLS fixtures, including New York Red Bulls vs. DC United.

Colorado vs. LA Galaxy (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Colorado Rapids have the Western Conference top spot in their sights and could climb to first place with victory against Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Robin Fraser's side are just one point behind league leaders Seattle Sounders with one game in hand, while LA Galaxy could also make a big stride towards catching the leading pack this weekend, currently sitting five points behind their hosts.

We say: Colorado Rapids 2-1 Los Angeles Galaxy

Colorado Rapids have only lost once in their 10 home games this season, while LA Galaxy have lost as many games as they have won away from home.

Galaxy will have been glad to not lose the fixture against LAFC, but the 3-3 draw could have sapped some energy out of the side, while the Rapids are lifted from their victory against San Jose Earthquakes.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Seattle vs. Minnesota Utd (Saturday, 10.00pm)

Western Conference leaders Seattle Sounders are looking to extend the gap between themselves and second-placed Colorado Rapids, who have a game in hand on Brian Schmetzer's side, when they host Minnesota United on Saturday.

The visitors also have it all to play for as they currently sit in fifth spot, two points ahead of Vancouver Whitecaps in the playoff series positions, approaching the final 10 games in the league.

We say: Seattle Sounders 1-1 Minnesota United

Seattle Sounders may be starting to feel the pressure of leading the way, and with Colorado Rapids chasing them down, they will be desperate to not lose consecutive matches.

Minnesota could feed off the pressure on Seattle, and after a good victory against Houston, the visitors will back themselves not to lose against the table toppers.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

NY Red Bulls vs. DC United (Sunday, 12.00am)

Looking to bounce back from their defeat against Chicago Fire, New York Red Bulls welcome DC United to the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

The visitors, on the other hand, have lost their most recent two games away from home and will be seeking to bring an end to this poor run.

We say: New York Red Bulls 2-1 DC United

New York Red Bulls have struggled for results for most of the season and find themselves at the wrong end of the table. While DC United have suffered a slump in form in recent weeks, they will head into the game in high spirits following their convincing win over Philadelphia. However, we predict the hosts will claim all three points and extend the visitors' poor away form.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

New England vs. NY City (Sunday, 12.00am)

After ending their nine-game winning streak a couple of weeks ago, New York City FC, will try to win their first-ever regular-season series against the New England Revolution when they travel to Gillette Stadium to face them on Saturday afternoon.

This year, the Revs won the first meeting between these sides at Red Bull Arena, 3-2, while New York captured the second encounter at Yankee Stadium last month by a 2-0 score.

We say: New England Revolution 2-1 New York City FC

The Revs are well ahead in the race to capture first place in the Eastern Conference as well as the Supporters' Shield, but they show no signs of letting up and with the potential of breaking more records this season, and we can expect to see their very best once again this weekend.

New York seem to struggle if they cannot find the back of the net early on, but even if they do on Saturday, the Revs are just as good playing from behind as they are when leading.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Inter Miami vs. Columbus Crew (Sunday, 1.00am)

The playoff race in the MLS Eastern Conference is heating up as Inter Miami are looking to move a little closer to that final spot on Saturday when they host the Columbus Crew from DRV PNK Stadium.

Miami are only four points out of a postseason berth in the East, following their 1-0 win over FC Cincinnati, while the reigning MLS Cup champions are three points below the playoff line after failing to complete their comeback versus Orlando City.

We say: Inter Miami 1-0 Columbus Crew

Momentum in football is a funny thing as it can happen when you least expect it, and you can lose it in the blink of an eye, and at the moment, the Herons are doing all the little things right, while Columbus have continuously shot themselves in the foot.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Cincinnati vs. Toronto (Sunday, 1.00am)

FC Cincinnati celebrates a goal late in the first half against Orlando City SC at TQL Stadium on August 7, 2021© Reuters

The bottom two teams in Major League Soccer will face each other on Saturday at TQL Stadium as FC Cincinnati host Toronto.

Cincy have gone winless in their last 12 matches, while the Reds have lost their previous four games and are winless in seven straight fixtures.

We say: FC Cincinnati 3-1 Toronto

Both teams have struggled lately, but the Orange-and-Blue have done a better job at keeping opposing teams at bay and have also done well when it comes to defending on their home field, conceding only three goals in their last five matches.

Toronto are reeling once against, allowing 10 goals in their last three road games, as they look lost and out of sorts.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Montreal vs. Nashville (Sunday, 1.00am)

CF Montreal head coach Wilfried Nancy reacts from the sideline on May 22, 2021© Reuters

After a two-week break, CF Montreal will return to MLS action on Saturday when they host Nashville SC for the first time at Saputo Stadium.

The team from Quebec are currently sitting in sixth in the Eastern Conference and are unbeaten this season on their home field, while the Black-and-Gold are fighting for second place with Orlando City, currently behind the Lions only on goal difference.

We say: CF Montreal 0-1 Nashville SC

With two teams who like to defend, we will probably be in for a cagey affair with these very patient sides, and even though both could be missing some key components to their team, Montreal would probably feel those losses worse especially if Piette is not available in midfield to slow down a quick attacking team like Nashville.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Dallas vs. Earthquakes (Sunday, 1.30am)

Dallas have a chance to leapfrog the San Jose Earthquakes and move into 10th in the Western Conference with a victory on Saturday at Toyota Stadium.

The Toros ended their three-game road trip on a sour note, dropping a 3-2 decision to Real Salt Lake, while the Goonies conceded in the 89th minute last week, losing 1-0 to the Colorado Rapids.

We say: Dallas 1-1 San Jose Earthquakes

Dallas have been shut out of their last two home games, but that was against the top two teams in the conference (the Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City) and they are traditionally a lot more well-structured and disciplined at Toyota Stadium.

Drawing matches is just what we have gotten used to seeing from the Quakes, who earned four straight single points in July, and although their last two fixtures were not draws, this team seem to play well enough to earn a result but not usually good enough to win.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Houston vs. Austin (Sunday, 1.30am)

Austin FC huddles before the first game on June 20, 2021© Reuters

Houston Dynamo and Austin FC are fighting to not finish bottom of the Western Conference, and their meeting on Sunday presents an opportunity for one of these sides to open a small gap between themselves and 13th spot.

Both teams have lost their last two outings, with the home side not seeing victory since the end of May, while Austin have recorded three wins since then.

We say: Houston Dynamo 0-2 Austin FC

Austin have better results under their belt more recently than Houston, and the visitors will be looking to emulate what the previous seven teams have managed against Dynamo and that is score at least twice.

Having scored three against Portland and Dallas, Austin should be confident of doing just that and Houston are likely to have no reply on Sunday.

Kansas vs. Chicago Fire (Sunday, 1.30am)

Sporting Kansas City head coach Peter Vermes on June 12, 2021© Reuters

After suffering their worst defeat in nearly two years, Sporting Kansas City are hoping that a date with the Chicago Fire at Children's Mercy Park on Saturday can restore their confidence as they look to climb back into the race for first in the Western Conference.

KC dropped to third in the West after falling 4-0 to Los Angeles FC last Friday, while the Fire earned their first road victory of the year, beating the New York Red Bulls 1-0.

We say: Sporting Kansas City 1-0 Chicago Fire

When you look at the standings, the Fire should be the more desperate team in this one, but they have struggled all year to maintain momentum when they get it, while the Wizards have been resilient and are usually able to correct their mistakes following a defeat.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
