Zinedine Zidane has insisted that it will not be his decision if Cristiano Ronaldo is sold by Real Madrid in the summer.
The 31-year-old has been jeered by the Bernabeu faithful on a number of occasions this term, including during Sunday's 7-1 win over Celta Vigo - a game in which he scored four goals.
It had resulted in widespread suggestions that the attacker will leave the club that he has served for seven years at the end of the season.
However, head coach Zidane has stressed that Ronaldo is a part of his plans going forward.
"I'm the coach and I want Cristiano here," the Frenchman told reporters ahead of the Champions League tie against Roma.
"I was booed too. It's not about any one player - they're a crowd who want more and that's good because it forces you to improve and to try to always do your best. The fans love their players."
Ronaldo has scored 352 goals in just 335 appearances for Los Blancos.
