Como are reportedly on the brink of completing the permanent signing of a Real Madrid youngster.
After a 21-year absence, Como are back in Serie A, spearheaded by head coach Cesc Fabregas who has been able to attract some high-profile names to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
The standout arrival has been former Real Madrid and Manchester United defender Raphael Varane, but the likes of Alberto Moreno and Andrea Belotti have also made the switch to the top-flight newcomers.
That has not prevented a disappointing start to the season with a penalty-shootout defeat to Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia being followed by a 3-0 loss at Juventus in their league opener on Monday.
Nevertheless, Como will hope to shake off that double setback in due course, seemingly with yet a further fresh face in their ranks.

Como closing on Real starlet
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Como are closing in on the acquisition of Nico Paz from Real Madrid.
Romano says that the Blues have sent an official proposal to their Los Blancos counterparts for a permanent deal to be completed in the coming days.
Como are prepared to allow Real to possess both a sell-on and buy-back clause in the event that the 19-year-old shines in Italy.
Personal terms are said to be a formality with Paz ready to accept the challenge of continuing his development under Fabregas.

Who is getting the better deal?
The playmaker has impressed Carlo Ancelotti to such an extent that he has already been provided with 128 minutes of senior football spread across eight appearances.
Paz has also already got himself on the scoresheet in the Champions League, netting in a 4-2 victory over Napoli in last season's group stage.
During pre-season, Paz continued to impress in games against the likes of AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea, yet he faced the prospect of his game time being restricted unless Real suffered injuries in the final third.
There is the likelihood of the Argentina Under-23 international being handed regular starts for Como, who will feel that they are signing a potential star of the future.
