Barcelona's two-window transfer ban has reportedly ended their hopes of signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus.
On Tuesday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld FIFA's decision to implement a two-window transfer ban on Barca for breaching rules on the signing of youth players.
According to Marca, Reus is not prepared to wait until January 2016 to leave Dortmund, opening the path for Real Madrid to sign the German international next summer.
The 27-year-old has a contract with Dortmund until 2017, but his current deal includes a release clause in the region of £20m.
Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be in the race for the pacey forward.
