AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina reportedly emerges as a reported target for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have reportedly identified AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina as a potential replacement for Keylor Navas during this summer's transfer window.

Navas is believed to have informed Madrid that he wants to leave the club this month, with the Costa Rican not prepared to be second choice to Thibaut Courtois at the Bernabeu.

According to AS, Los Blancos have sounded out Reina as a possible replacement, and it is said that the 36-year-old 'fits the profile' when it comes to what the club are looking for this season.

The report adds that Andriy Lunin will become second choice when he returns from a loan spell at Real Valladolid next summer, meaning that Madrid want an experienced goalkeeper to be the understudy to Courtois for just the 2019-20 campaign.

Reina joined Milan on a free from Napoli last summer - the Spaniard is back-up to Gianluigi Donnarumma at San Siro, though, and made just four Serie A appearances during the 2018-19 season.

The 36-time Spain international has played over 800 games during his professional career, however, turning out for the likes of Barcelona, Villarreal and Liverpool.
