Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez to undergo Everton medical this week?

Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez could become an Everton player before the end of the week, according to a report.

James Rodriguez will reportedly undergo a medical with Everton this week ahead of completing a permanent move from Real Madrid.

The Colombia international made just 14 appearances for Madrid last season and is no longer part of Zinedine Zidane's plans.

A number of clubs have been linked with the 29-year-old and, according to talkSPORT, Everton have won the race for his signature.

Rodriguez could become an Everton player before the end of the week, it is suggested, with personal terms having already been agreed.

The Toffees are expected to pay the playmaker around £4m a year in wages - a substantial drop on his current £7m annual salary.

Napoli midfielder Allan is also expected to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park, with that transfer also at an advanced stage.
