Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly both keeping a close eye on Leroy Sane's contract situation at Bayern Munich, with the La Liga giants keen on his signature.
The Germany international has entered the final two years of the deal that he signed at Allianz Arena upon his arrival from Manchester City in the summer of 2020.
Sane has been in impressive form for Bayern during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring six goals in 10 appearances in all competitions, including five in six Bundesliga outings.
There is uncertainty when it comes to the 27-year-old's long-term future, though, and according to Bild, both Barcelona and Real Madrid are attentive to the situation.
The report claims that this season 'could be his last in Munich', with the attacker set to make a decision on his next move at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are believed to be long-term admirers of the German and would be interested in pursuing a deal if it becomes clear that he will be leaving Allianz Arena in 2024.
Real Madrid are still hopeful of signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain next summer, but it is far from certain that a move will go through.
Los Blancos are thought to be planning to move for two attackers at the end of the campaign, with Joselu only on loan from Espanyol, while Rodrygo has scored just once during a disappointing start to the season.
Sane could therefore potentially arrive alongside Mbappe depending on Bayern's asking price for a player who would have just 12 months left to run on his contract next summer.

Bayern's valuation would also determine whether Barcelona could realistically sign him due to the Catalan outfit's ongoing financial problems.
Joao Felix is currently impressing on loan from Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, and the club could attempt to acquire the attacker on a permanent basis next summer.
Sane started his professional career with Schalke 04, representing the German side between 2014 and 2016, scoring 13 goals and registering eight assists in 57 matches before moving to Manchester City.
The attacker netted 39 goals and provided 46 assists in 135 appearances for the Citizens, winning two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups and two Community Shields during a successful spell.
Sane has also been capped on 55 occasions for Germany, scoring 13 goals, and he helped his country win the Confederations Cup back in 2017.
