Bruno Alves suggests Cristiano Ronaldo is joining Juventus

Rangers defender Bruno Alves suggests that his Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has already agreed to leave Real Madrid for Juventus.

Rangers defender Bruno Alves has suggested that his Portugal teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has already agreed to leave Real Madrid for Juventus.

Alves spent the 2018 World Cup alongside Ronaldo in the Portugal camp, with the Iberian nation reaching the last-16 stage of the competition before losing to Uruguay.

Ronaldo helped Madrid land their third straight Champions League title last season, and has scored a remarkable 450 goals in 438 appearances for the Spanish giants.

Juventus have been strongly linked with a move for the 33-year-old in recent days, however, with the Italian giants said to be confident of signing the Portugal international this summer.

Alves has said that "Ronaldo will triumph again at Juventus" as the attacker seemingly nears a move to Turin.

"Cristiano Ronaldo will triumph again at Juventus," Alves told O Jogo. "There is no league where he cannot be successful. He has already proved that he can win in any country and Italy is no different.

"I am cheering him on, because Ronaldo is a testimonial for Portugal in the world. I was at his side during so many battles for 12 years and I know how much he can motivate himself. That's important when accepting a new challenge."

Juventus could reportedly pay Madrid in the region of £88m to land Ronaldo this summer.
