Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has admitted that he is a little frustrated with life at the Bernabeu.

The Costa Rican developed into one of the best stoppers in La Liga during his time with Levante, before his talent was recognised on a more global scale during the 2014 World Cup.

Real swooped for Navas last summer, but the 28-year-old has thus far been forced to act as back-up to Iker Casillas.

"I feel very calm, but obviously you always want more. I'm not a conformist or someone who surrenders easily," he told Marca.

"I know the situation isn't what I want, but that's where I have to show the best of me and become stronger. It's not the first time I've been in this situation.

"I know what path I must follow in order to achieve results, so I try to learn. I think for me, it's a privilege to be at Madrid and every day I try to show they signed me. I get on well with everyone, The group welcomed me with open arms since day one and gave me the confidence I needed to feel calm."

Navas has played just eight times for Real Madrid this season.
