Marcelo suffers hamstring injury

A report claims that Real Madrid defender Marcelo will miss the next two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury.

Real Madrid defender Marcelo is expected to be out of action for at least the next two weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in training.

According to Marca, the Brazilian has damaged his hamstring on his left leg, with initial reports predicting a two-week absence for the left-back.

As a result, Marcelo will miss Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Borussia Dortmund, but is expected to return for the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona later this month.

Marcelo captained Los Blancos in the 5-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.
