Eden Hazard has acknowledged that he was delighted to get his Real Madrid career off to a winning start.
Having missed the opening three La Liga fixtures with a calf problem, Hazard came off the bench to make his debut in the 3-2 victory over Levante.
With Los Blancos having moved into second position in the standings, the Belgium international hopes that the triumph was the start of "something special" for him at the Bernabeu.
The 28-year-old told reporters: "I hope this is the start of something really good. I want to enjoy football with my teammates and keep playing matches.
"This is a special stadium and the fans always back the team. I'm happy that I could get out on the pitch and that we earned a victory.
"When you come back from an injury it is tough to find your rhythm and you need some time."But the most important thing today was winning."
Hazard will hope to feature again when Real face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
