Sports Mole looks back on how 2013 has unfolded so far for Cristiano Ronaldo with a host of facts and figures.

Cristiano Ronaldo sent out an emphatic reminder as far as the Ballon d'Or is concerned last night by scoring all three of Portugal's goals in their victory over Sweden.

It was a performance that has seen the majority of bookmakers install him as the favourite to claim the award ahead of both Lionel Messi and Franck Ribery.

Is the 28-year-old deserving of the trophy, though? Below, Sports Mole looks on his year so far with a selection of facts and figures.

47: His hat-trick against Sweden last night took his international tally for Portugal to 47, making him the country's joint top scorer of all time alongside Pauleta.

26: It was also the 26th hat-trick of his career. One for Manchester United, two for Portugal and 23 for Real Madrid.

3: The number of hat-tricks that Ronaldo has scored in his last six matches.

66: The total number of goals that he has scored in 2013 so far. That is more than Liverpool (61), Arsenal (58), Manchester City (56), Chelsea (54) and Manchester United (54) have managed in the same time period.

56: How many appearances it has taken for Ronaldo to score those goals in.

24: The number of goals that he has scored in all competitions for Madrid so far in 17 outings.

10: Known for his ability in the air, 10 of his goals in 2013 for Madrid have been scored with his head.

16: Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have scored 16 league goals between them this term, while Ronaldo has that on his own.

31: The total number of goals that he has scored so far this season in all competitions from 21 outings.

12: The number of yellow cards that have been flashed in his direction since the turn of the year.

225: His trio of goals last time out for Los Blancos against Real Sociedad took his Madrid tally to 225 - a feat achieved in four-and-a-half years.
