Emilio Butragueno bemoans Real Madrid's bad luck against Granada

Emilio Butragueno says that Real Madrid were unlucky to lose to Granada in La Liga on Saturday.

Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno has lamented that his side lacked luck against Granada in La Liga on Saturday.

A Cristiano Ronaldo own goal saw the defending Spanish champions lose 1-0 at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

"We were not inspired, that is true," he told Madrid's official website. "We had few chances, fewer than usual.

"But we also did not have any luck. Their defensive structure blocked us, but you always hope that our individual quality will appear.

"Karim Benzema had a chance to score, but we just did not show up. Granada though, defended very well and we struggled."

Madrid are currently third in La Liga with 43 points from 22 matches.
