Cesc Fabregas describes Barca's 3-1 victory over Real Madrid as "brutal".

Cesc Fabregas has said that Barcelona's El Clasico victory was "brutal" after he netted the third goal in their 3-1 win over Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old former Arsenal star said that the win was as special as lifting the World Cup with Spain.

"This was brutal. I've won important things in my career but this is very special for me," Fabregas said.

"The first half was difficult but in the second half we played a great game.

"We played 70 minutes with a three-man defence and to win 3-1 here at the Bernabeu says a lot about this team. This gives us confidence for the Club World Cup."

Barca are now in Japan for the global club competition as European champions.
