Mestalla Stadium to host Copa del Rey final

Valencia's Mestalla Stadium is chosen as the host for the 2014 Copa del Rey final between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Valencia's Mestalla Stadium will host this season's Copa del Rey final between Real Madrid and Barcelona in April.

The Spanish football federation also announced that the match will kick off at 9.30pm local time.

The stadium was chosen to hold the final three years ago, the last time it was contested between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Real thrashed city rivals Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals, while Barca overcame Real Sociedad.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored an extra-time header to settle the last El Clasico final back in 2011.
