Pep Guardiola: 'Zlatan Ibrahimovic is making friends with Jose Mourinho'

Pep Guardiola responds to criticism from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, claiming that the AC Milan striker is trying to make friends with Jose Mourinho.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has accused Zlatan Ibrahimovic of trying to strike up a friendship with Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic was part of the AC Milan side that was beaten 3-1 by Barca yesterday evening, thanks largely to two penalties from Lionel Messi.

That led the Swedish striker to suggest that match officials favour the Catalan club.

However, Guardiola believes that his side won the match on merit.

"Mr Ibrahimovic can say what he likes," Guardiola told reporters. "Now he is making friends with Mourinho. But on the pitch, in the moment of truth, is where he has to speak. They were both penalties.

"If Mr Ibrahimovic or Mourinho think we don't deserve our qualification and that we are winning thanks to referees, I'll say to them that we are going to play a semi-final for the fifth time in a row. And that actually means something."

Ibrahimovic spent one season playing with Barca before joining Milan in 2010.
