Midfielder Casemiro says that Real Madrid had 'no excuse' for succumbing to a 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Casemiro has insisted that Real Madrid have plenty of time to recover from their humbling 3-0 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

A double from Angel Di Maria and a late effort from Thomas Meunier condemned Real to a convincing loss at the Parc des Princes, a result which follows on from their less-than-impressive outings against Villarreal and Levante in La Liga.

While Casemiro has claimed that Los Blancos have 'no excuses' for their latest poor performance, the midfielder has backed himself and his teammates to improve over the upcoming matches.

The Brazilian told Movistar: "The truth is that we didn't play well. They took control of the game and we know that it's always very difficult here.

"They're very strong, they have great players and there is no excuse. We're going to keep working, there's still lots of time to change this.

"We scored two goals that didn't stand, but I don't think there's an excuse right now. We didn't play well. It's a delicate moment to speak, but we're working and we have time to change this."

Real Madrid are next in action when they face Sevilla on Sunday.
