Reading close in on Sanchez

Reading are reportedly hoping to complete the signing of free agent Carlos Sanchez.

The 26-year-old, who was recently released by French club Valenciennes, is said to have been a target of Reading boss Brian McDermott for a number of months.

Despite interest from Italian clubs Udinese and Genoa, McDermott is confident that he will capture his target, according to Sky Sports News.

Sanchez has represented his country on 26 occasions.
