Cardiff City closing in on Adam Le Fondre?

Cardiff City are understood to be close to agreeing a deal for Reading striker Adam Le Fondre.

Cardiff City are reportedly closing in on a move for Reading striker Adam Le Fondre.

The 27-year-old recently admitted that his future with the Royals was unclear because of issues involving the ownership of the club.

Le Fondre scored 15 goals for Reading last season as Nigel Adkins's side narrowly missed out on a place in the Championship playoffs.

A number of clubs are thought to be monitoring the forward ahead of the new campaign, though Cardiff are understood to be leading the chase to sign him, according to Sky Sports News.

Le Fondre joined Reading from Rotherham United in 2011.
