Rayo Vallecano defender Ze Castro has claimed that the club's supporters have given the team the strength to move out of the relegation zone in recent weeks.
Three straight wins for the capital outfit have moved them into 16th position in the table, three points clear of the drop zone with 10 games remaining.
"We always knew things were going to be complicated, but so far, we're turning our situation around with good football, with the same proposals as always and we'll stay that way right until the end," he told reporters at a press conference.
"The fans here back the team when things are going well and when they're not. That always gives us a lot of strength and encourages us to keep playing the same way.
"The fans know that when they come to the stadium, Rayo will give them everything. From there, I think it's been a great spectacle for those who came."
Rayo have won nine of their 28 league games this season.
