Lille have reportedly had a bid of £16.25m for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos rejected by the Scottish Premiership side.
The Colombian forward has been strongly linked with a move away from Ibrox in recent weeks, with Lille supposedly leading the race for Morelos's signature.
However, the Daily Mail claims that the French outfit are growing tired in their pursuit of the 24-year-old after failing to agree a fee with Rangers.
Lille are understood to have had a bid of £16.25m turned down by Steven Gerrard's side, who are reluctant to part ways with Morelos for less than £20m, and the Ligue 1 outfit will reportedly focus their attention on other targets.
Lille are in the market for a new striker following Victor Osimhen's move to Napoli, and the report claims that Les Dogues are now eyeing up Gent's Jonathan David as a potential alternative to Morelos.
The Colombia international is under contract until 2023 at Ibrox, where he has notched up 77 goals from 138 appearances since arriving from HJK in 2017.
