Rangers manager Ally McCoist has insisted that the club would still challenge for silverware if they were to sell striker Nikica Jelavic.
The Croatian, who has scored 14 goals this season, has been linked with moves to Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United.
"There's not just life beyond Nikica, there's life beyond us all," said McCoist. "There are bigger players who have left this club and the club always goes on. That's the most important thing because the club is the most important thing.
"Nikica, if he went, would be a big loss. He's a fantastic player and he has been a great talent here.
"I'd also like to tell you I wouldn't like to lose him. Of course I wouldn't because he's a good player."
The Gers moved to within a point of leaders Celtic with a 4-0 win over Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
