Rangers assistant manager David Weir has tipped new signing Danny Wilson as a future Ibrox captain.
The defender rejoined the Glasgow outfit from Hearts earlier this week, and Weir believes that he has the right qualities to one day skipper the side.
"He is vocal, he is a leader and he's a potential captain," he told Rangers TV. "He's one of those types that are few and far between so that's another added bonus with getting Danny here.
"He's got the attributes to come in and be the right type of person, set the tone for everyone else and be a part of what we want to do here."
Wilson has defended his decision to drop down a division to rejoin Rangers, insisting that he will prove the sceptics wrong.
