Former Brentford manager Mark Warburton has held preliminary discussions with Rangers, according to reports.
The Daily Record claims that Warburton and former Bees assistant David Weir are keen to take the reins at the Glasgow club.
"From my point of view [Rangers] are a massive club. I have huge respect for the size of the club and the fan base at Rangers. Who wouldn't?" Warburton said.
"I am well aware of the tradition and history of the club so I would never be anything other than absolutely respectful of a club of that stature."
The pair left Brentford after leading them to a surprise fifth-place finish in the Championship this season.
