Craig Levein: 'I'll still consider Rangers'

Craig Levein says that Rangers players still have a future with the Scotland team.

Scotland manager Craig Levein has revealed that he will still consider calling up Rangers players for the national side.

Financial disasters have resulted in the Gers being demoted to the Scottish Third Division, with a number of their top players consequently heading for the exit door of Ibrox.

Despite finding themselves in a lower division, the Scotland boss says that he will still take a look at Rangers players before selecting a national squad.

"What I said when I announced the squad is that it will be more difficult for the Rangers players because the standard in the Third Division isn't akin to international football," Levein said.

"I also said that the door wasn't closed."

Scotland take on Australia in a friendly on Wednesday evening.
