A report claims that Newcastle United would have no interest in signing Loic Remy should Queens Park Rangers be relegated.

Newcastle United will reportedly not launch a second bid to sign Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy during the summer.

The Magpies agreed a fee for the French international with Marseille during the January transfer window, only for the 26-year-old to accept a late offer from QPR.

However, should the R's be relegated to the Championship, it is widely regarded that they will try to get Remy off their wage bill.

Despite the fact that they are still keen to bolster their attacking options following Demba Ba's departure to Chelsea in January, the Magpies have no interest in renewing their interest in Remy, according to the Northern Echo.

The report went on to claim that the club may submit a bid for St Etienne's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
