Queens Park Rangers have agreed a fee with Sunderland for the transfer of Anton Ferdinand.
The 26-year-old will now travel down to London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical before the transfer window shuts this evening.
The defender has just used Twitter to confirm the situation to his brother Rio, saying: "Waiting around 2 go 4 the medical, jus heard a rumour that I failed it! don't no where that's come from!"
Ferdinand joined the Black Cats three years ago from West Ham United for a reported £8m fee.
Should the centre-back sign on at Loftus Road, he will join recent additions Joey Barton, Luke Young and Armand Traore.
