Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero suggests that he may stay at the club even though they have been relegated to the Championship.

Spaniard Esteban Granero has hinted that he would be prepared to play for Queens Park Rangers in the Championship next season.

Following the team's relegation yesterday afternoon, reports have suggested that the club would need to move out a number of players to ease any financial pressure.

However, midfielder Granero has revealed that he will leave it up to the management and board to decide his future.

"I signed my contract here for four years," the London Evening Standard quotes him as saying.

"I was not thinking about going to the Championship when I joined but that is the reality now. I like life in London. We now prepare for life next season. The club will have to decide, not me,"

Granero signed on at Loftus Road last summer from Champions League semi-finalists Real Madrid.
