Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp could walk out next summer

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp reveals that he could walk away from the club if they are relegated from the Premier League this season.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he could quit the club at the end of the season if they are relegated from the Premier League.

The Hoops, who won promotion from the Championship last term, are rooted to the bottom of the table following their 2-0 defeat at West Ham United on Sunday.

QPR owner Tony Fernandes is reportedly stalling over offering Redknapp a new deal following the club's poor start to the season.

"The truth is I told Tony Fernandes three or four weeks ago that I do not want a contract," Redknapp told The Sun.

"We'll see where QPR finish the season and take it from there. If we get relegated I wouldn't expect to stay and I wouldn't want to. I told Tony that I get on so well with him and know him so well I don't want a contract. I don't need one.

"If I'd wanted to sign the contract I could've done a long time ago. "So we'll see where we are come May, won't we? I may have had enough by then and so might the people that run the club."

Redknapp was appointed QPR boss in November 2012.
