Queens Park Rangers held by Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Premier League side Queens Park Rangers in their friendly at Brisbane Road.

Dean Cox scored a late goal to earn Leyton Orient a 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers in their pre-season friendly at Brisbane Road this evening.

The hosts started well and took the lead in the 10th minute when Romain Vincelot headed Cox's cross past Robert Green.

Nine minutes later QPR eqaulised as Junior Hoilett fired a long-range effort into the bottom corner.

Lloyd James and Cox then came close for Orient, but they could not find a way past Green.

In the 47th minute the visitors scored their second of the match through Joey Barton, who curled a free kick beyond the reach of Gary Woods.

The O's wasted a great opportunity to level the scores midway through the second half when Chris Dagnall was played into the box by Dave Mooney, but he could only direct his effort straight at Green.

With six minutes left to play, Cox grabbed the equaliser for the hosts when he worked some room inside the box and fired past Green to ensure that the match finished level.
