Queens Park Rangers reject reports Tony Pulis could take over as manager

Queens Park Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand rejects reports that Tony Pulis could replace Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as manager.

Queens Park Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand has rejected reports that West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis could replace manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The 58-year-old's future at The Hawthorns has come into question amid rumours that he may walk out following the club's lack of activity in the summer transfer window.

It was reported by The Times that QPR could hire Pulis if he opts to leave West Brom, therefore throwing Hasselbaink's future into doubt.

However, Ferdinand has insisted that the Championship outfit are not looking to make a managerial change.

"Tony Pulis came to the game the other night, which is a normal thing for a manager to do when his team aren't playing," Ferdinand told West London Sport. "I saw him and sat next to him - that's it.

"The result on Tuesday was obviously unacceptable but I can categorically say we are not looking to change manager and are not considering anyone else."

QPR are currently 14th in the table, while the Baggies are 12th in the Premier League standings.
