Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes insists that he is still the right man to lead the Hoops to Premier League survival.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has insisted that he is still the right man to lead the Hoops to Premier League survival.

The Loftus Road club are currently 19th in the table and five points from safety following Sunday's 1-1 draw with rivals Reading.

Hughes is odds-on with most bookmakers to be the next top-flight manager to leave his position, however the Welshman has no intention of resigning.

"Am I still the manager to turn things around here? Yes I am," he said. "We know exactly where we are and our intention is to get out of that."

Hughes took charge of QPR in January.
