Leroy Fer has admitted that he was "delighted" to score his first goal since joining Queens Park Rangers during their win over Leicester City.
The match at Loftus Road, which ended in a 3-2 win for the hosts, saw a Premier League record of 51 shots, with Fer scoring the second goal for QPR.
The Netherlands international told the club's website: "I was delighted with the goal. It was a fantastic feeling. It's been a long time coming, so I was really pleased when it went in.
"We're strong at home. Going behind early was disappointing, but we kept fighting, kept battling and got back into it.
"At 2-2 we just knew we had to keep fighting and thankfully Charlie [Austin] came up with the winner. He's so important for us and he was in the right place at the right time to score again."
Despite the win, QPR remain in the relegation zone, but are level on points with 17th-placed Hull City.
