Kevin Doyle has admitted that Harry Redknapp was a big reason for him choosing to join Queens Park Rangers on loan in January.
The Irish striker, who made the switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a temporary basis, claims that Redknapp's interest gave him a boost following a tough couple of seasons.
"Harry certainly helped me make my decision," Doyle told Sky Sports News. "He is a world-renowned manager and if he wants to sign you it's good for your confidence.
"It's only been two-and-a-half years since I was in the Premier League.
"But it seems a long time ago because a lot has happened in that time."
