Adel Taarabt is reported to have said that he aims to leave QPR for "financial reasons".

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt has reportedly announced that he wants to leave the club over wage issues.

The 22-year-old was believed to have walked out at the half-time interval in Rangers' 6-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage last weekend.

Despite manager Neil Warnock trying to play down the alleged incident, the Morocco international is rumoured to be seeking a way out of the newly-promoted Premier League side.

"I want to leave QPR during the January transfer window," the Daily Mail quotes Taarabt as saying. "It is for financial reasons."

Reports at the weekend linked the playmaker with a move to Arsenal.
