PSV Eindhoven striker Jeremain Lens hints that he would like to move to a club in the Premier League.

PSV Eindhoven striker Jeremain Lens has hinted that he would like to move to a club in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old Netherlands international, who scored 15 goals in 30 league games for PSV last season, has two years left to run on his current contract.

Lens, who turned down a move to Southampton last summer, believes that it is now the right time to play in the Premier League.

"I long for the next step," he told Voetbal International. "I think the time has come to prove myself at the highest level every week.

"I have no transfer clause in my contract, but if there is a nice club I expect no problems. PSV would grant me a move abroad. Otherwise, next year they could be left facing an unpleasant situation.

"Southampton was the only option abroad and I didn't want to leave PSV. I expect that other clubs will make a move this summer and I hope to be able to choose."

Lens has made 11 appearances for the Netherlands.
